We visited with Santa . . . no preamble and she didn't have a prepared wish list. And I don't think we even got a candy cane. Hmmm.

Updates and Such

We had a great New Zealand vacation! We were impressed with the country as a whole and we only saw half of it! Tarik's bike race went well! We saw lots of crazy huge beaches, strangely perfect forests, and animals galore! We celebrated our anniversary, Aida's birthday, and Halloween while in NZ!

summer travel

Aida and I hit the east coast! We endured the blazing heat of NJ and toured on up the coast to Newport, RI! Teta hosted us in royal fashion! We did the beach thing, shopped til we dropped and got to use the air conditioning! The Denton family reunion was an amazing gathering of all the younglings! Wow! And on the way home we caught every germ that air travel, cousin visiting, and weakened immune systems could find!!! Tarik was busy touring Europe and made it to RI to pick us up. See his blog for more info and pictures and such.

For Daddy . . .

Aida

sitting with the cats

Big girl, Aida, flew in a plane to see Teta! She handled it all pretty well. She was absolutely fascinated by the planes, luggage trucks, people, and noise! She had been studying a book I got her titled, "Airport." By far, the most interesting thing to her was the potty on the airplane! But, when we had to change her diaper 3 times on the flight, she became clearly less interested. We didn't even have to watch Nemo. Although she did ask for it today . . .
I plan on taking her to see the farm animals tomorrow. And we're driving south in the afternoon . . . we'll see what happens!
She does wonder what I'm talking about when I tell her she's sleeping in daddy's room. I told her the room next to us was uncle Omar's. She kept insisting that they are both Aida's. But when the alarm clock scared her by playing the radio alarm it was suddenly uncle Omar's! Can't wait for the cousins to join us!
