Living large

That is an impressive 14 pounds and 23.5" of baby Aida at the two month checkup. Good girl! We got the percentiles, it was above 95th in weight, 90th in height and 75 in head size. All is well with the young lady. She has already grown out of alot of the favorite onesies.


Getting to the doctor was a bit of an adventure with the 18" or so of snow in the last 36 hours...

Thanksgiving Formality

We arrived to thanksgiving with Aida in her nightie, but we were on time...
After a feeding we did a costume change for the occasion. Yay sort of together parents.

About one month photos

Maybe the four week set was a bit early. We had the one month checkup:
23" tall, 11 pounds! That is some serious growing. i think that puts her in the millionth percentile for girls. No wonder she is a good eater.

We had the second doctors appointment today and she weighed 9 pounds and 3 ounces today! She is a good good eater. We are so proud.

Day two and three pictures are here Slowly things are stabilizing.

She has hair, a nice belgie style mullet:

We stayed at the hospital for a few extra days to get Aida's jaundice dissapated by the using the party lights.

I think we can look at this picture without getting upset now, it was not all that cool when the nurses strapped her to the light table. mean mean nurses.


Finally big congrats to Elena's Brother Hayden and sister-in-law gretchen for bypassing weeks 38-39-40 and bonus week 41 to produce little Tristen Telesforo Perez, more over at Perez Happenings.

Due to a bit of jaundice we did not get home from the hospital until sunday afternoon. But all is well now. More photos tomorrow...

Presenting Aida Mae Saleh

Weighing in at 8 pounds 11 oz and 21.75" in lenghth our little girl was born yesterday. She is great!

Elena did such a great job, I am so so so so so proud of her. Much respect. Birth is an odd thing.



I already can change diapers, up to 4 in my life, from zero last week. Mad skilz.



No internet at the hospital, but I believe we will have photos on saturday when we return home.

Things are afoot for real

Things have begun.



What started as a doctors appointment at 41 weeks and three days:


Led to a check in the maternity ward. Baby nog shall soon be presented and named!

Nothing going on but the playoffs. I think that puts at 40 weeks and 6 days.

The Saleh Ear

No baby yet, but another ultrasound, we got confirmation that the baby, indeed, seems to have the Saleh ear.
